The Steele Agency, powered by OnePoint Insurance Partners, is our newest subsidiary location — owned and operated by the Steele family. Founded by Robert H. Steele, former player for the Dallas Cowboys and founder of Hands on Health Care, alongside his son Remington Steele, the agency brings championship-level discipline, health insurance expertise for blue-collar workers, and family values to commercial insurance in Columbus and beyond.
How It Started
The Steele Agency story began with a conversation. Robert H. Steele and Jeff “Coach Tree” Rountree first met at a Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce event, then sat down for lunch — and that single meeting set in motion something far bigger than either of them expected. Robert’s belief in Chase Rountree helped open the door for Chase to attend the University of North Alabama, where he graduated as MVP of The Steele Center of Professional Selling.
The origin runs even deeper. Chase once asked his dad to teach him insurance sales. Coach Tree said, “Sure — but the most important thing in this business is trust and relationships. Come to a meeting with me.” It was the only meeting Chase ever attended with his father, and it changed both of their lives. That room led to Robert Steele, which led to the Steele Center, which led to The Steele Agency.
What started as mentorship became family. The Rountrees honored Robert with a custom Steele Center cutting board and a handwritten note from Chase thanking him for changing the trajectory of his life. That same spirit of belief, investment, and relationship is now the foundation of The Steele Agency — a OnePoint subsidiary built on trust, not transactions.
